🖼️ Does My Vw Have A Dpf
My detailed results have been posted on another forum. Everything has been confirmed with two VW master technicians. Firstly, the golf 7 does not passively regen. The exhaust doesn't even reach the magic 350C under normal driving. The way that the car deals with soot is to collect it in the dpf and then to actively burn it off when the dpf is
The consensus gathered here and elsewhere, including official VW documentation which is posted in various places, from R5 and V10 owners and others is as per Touareg MNE stated: R5 and V10 with DPF use 507.00. R5 and V10 without DPF, ONLY use 505.01 or 506.01. I would add: be warned - even some VW dealers get it wrong!
North Branch, MN. TDI. 2013 Jetta TDI 6M. Jun 28, 2016. #1. So ya, I found out last week I have a cracked DPF. I'm holding off on doing anything about it until we find out more about the dieselgate settlement, since the cost to repair is $2400. 2013 Jetta 6M, 108k. I had the car in for diagnostics, and a forced regen was performed.
There's a reason I'm thinking this: my car has a BKD engine [16v] and the only 140's I've read about on the net that have a DPF are 8v with engine code BMM. Or so they say on the net. devonmikeyboy
Unfortunately for us, there’s no clear cut answer but see below a list of cars have most commonly popped up in both comments on our website and via our twitter account. Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail 2006 – current models. Audi A3, A4 & A6 – 2006 to 2012. Skoda Octavia & other models 2004 – 2013. VW – 2006 – 20012.
Over time, an existing DPF system will create poor fuel economy. Once removed, fuel economy can improve by up to 30%. Because many diesel owners use their trucks for towing or carrying heavy loads, increased performance and power are a priority. For this reason, many diesel truck owners opt to have a DPF delete done on their vehicles. DEF Delete
Probably a lot of city driving and short trips. I have 48k on my 2014 Sportwagen, the DPF regen doesn't seem to work on my car, even with the immense amount of driving I do. Liquimoly makes a kit to clean the DPF that's supposed to work great. I commute 26 miles to work and 26 back. Takes about 40 mins in stop and go.
T6 Pro. 9 Jul 2023. #15. Had my dpf removed about 6 weeks ago. Reason, was seeing a lot of reports of failures and damaged engines. Cost about £400 labour and blanking off. Result is quicker, and fuel economy up from 30-32 to 39-45. So will recover the cost in about 2 years at my annual mileage.
To regenerate your VW Golf’s DPF through active or passive means, ensure you drive at highway speeds regularly (>60km/h) with clean air filters and engine oil according to manufacturer recommendations. If necessary, have a mechanic inspect and replace worn parts as soon as possible.
As I say I’m usually able to get on the motorway. I think I should point out that I’m not actually having any issues. I’m just interested in the theory behind removing the DPF. Diesel engines, wrongly used are a pet hate of mine so I'll be blunt here (ranting at diesels):-.
2009 Clean Diesel. Mar 26, 2012. #6. dieselyeti said: I read on another forum that the particle filter has to be replaced at around 100k. The reason being the regen cycles build up ash over time to the point where the thing gets totally clogged. Just to be a bit anal retentive, but the particulate filter does not have to be replaced at 100k
VW also say that, if the engine was hot enough, the “DPF could regenerate even when the car was sitting at the lights, for example.” Nissan’s approach to the regeneration procedure is less clear, but it appears that sustained driving at as much as 80km/h is required to burn off particulate build-up in a Navara’s DPF.
A long story short i have replaced my 2.0 Tdi EA288 Engine (CUNA) in my Golf Alltrack. While doing so I had the DPF cleaned and tested professionally and tested and replaced on to the New Engine. Everything has went great however I have been unable to reset the soot levels measured, I feel the differential pressure sensors need recalibrated to
36 posts · Joined 2019. #6 · Jul 23, 2020. Inspect wires at DPF exhaust pressure sensor 1 (G450) connector. Remove connector and inspect inside for corrosion or dirt. Inspect sensor. Check for voltage at connector with battery on. Remove sensor and check for resistance between pins. No resistance = bad sensor.
Adding a DPF or EGR adds an additional restriction to the exhaust or intake system. These artificial restrictions can become worse over time as soot builds up within the EGR and DPF. Deleting the DPF and EGR removes these restrictions, freeing your diesel engine to generate more horsepower and torque. Improved Reliability.
